In systematibus communicationis sine filo, tales divisores potentiae vulgo adhibentur ad signa antennarum ad plura modula recipientia vel transmittentia distribuenda, stabilitate et aequilibrio signalis servatis.

Technice loquendo, divisores potentiae quadriviales typice construuntur utens componentibus passivis, ut lineis microstrip, copulatoribus, vel mixtoribus. Hi componentes efficaciter potentiam signalis ad varias portas egressas distribuere et mutuam interferentiam inter varias egressas reducere possunt.
